Karmiel, Israel: Denver, CO, and Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfields of these sister cities.

1. Karmiel is located in the Galilee region of northern Israel, and has a population of around 46,000. Pray for skateboarding enthusiasts who normally frequent the colorful park above to experience an even greater thrill than coming off a steep ramp – being personal friends with the God of the universe.

2. Pray for family members of IDF personnel from Karmiel who have been killed in the last ten days.

3. Karmiel is one of several cities that is hosting Jewish families who had to leave their homes near Gaza. Pray for both a host and a guest family to come to Christ.

4. Denver, CO, has an estimated 91,000 Jewish residents, close to 13% of the city’s population. Pray for a dozen of those families to find life in their Messiah before the end of the year.

Givatayim, Israel: Chattanooga, TN, and Compton, CA, USA

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfields of these sister cities.

Located east of Tel Aviv, Givatayim was founded in 1922 by 22 pioneers. A hundred years later, the Times of Israel reported on September 22, 2022, that with current development plans, the city would reach a population density of 80,290 people per square mile (https://www.timesofisrael.com/givatayim-set-to-become-israels-highest-density-city/). This is especially interesting in light of current events, in which the media has focused on Gaza’s population density of 15,000 people per square mile.

1. Pray for the mayors of Givatayim, Chattanooga, and Compton to personally hear God’s plan of salvation this month, and respond in faith.

2. Pray for a musician in each of these three cities to be able to one day join heaven’s redeemed choir.

3. In the foreground of the picture is a cemetery. Pray for a family member of someone buried there, who misses their loved one deeply, to embrace the hope of Christ’s resurrection today.

Sister Cities Series

In 1956, President Eisenhower started Sister Cities, Inc., an organization designed to foster peaceful relations between US and international cities. Currently, there are fifty-one US and Israeli sister cities.

TGP is beginning a prayer series focused on those sister cities. If you would like for your city (or your hometown, etc.) and its corresponding Israeli sister city to be featured, please reply to this email (or contact targetedglobalprayer@gmail.com) with the name of the US city of your choice. In a case where that city does not have an Israeli sister city, the closest geographical city to it that does will be featured.

In the meantime, let us continue to pray for the following:

1.   Pray for the Lord to protect Israel by deflecting missiles from their targets and bringing terrorists to swift justice.

2.   Pray for many Israelis to turn to Jesus their Messiah during this time.

3.   Pray for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing for those suffering as a result of the terrorist attacks.

4.   Pray for the international community to see the truth and stand by Israel.

5.   Pray for the Lord to encourage Israeli Christians today with a renewed sense of His compassion, strength, and presence.

Aguascalientes, Mexico

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Aguascalientes.

  1. Aguascalientes means “hot waters,” so named for the many hot springs in the area. This is similar to the Biblical town of Laodicea, located between Hierapolis’ hot springs and Colossae’s cold water. Pray that Christians in Aguascalientes will remember Jesus’ words in Revelation 3:14-22.
  2. Aguascalientes is referred to as “the heart of Mexico” because of its geographic centrality. Pray that Bible preaching churches in the city will be used by God to disseminate the gospel throughout their country.
  3. Aguascalientes is home to the Museum of Death. Pray for the Lord to multiply to Himself many transformed Museums of Life (2 Corinthians 5:17).

English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Antigua and Barbuda.
