Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Ostersund.

1. The cheese stand above is part of an outdoor cultural history museum, which depicts the region’s thousand year history. Pray that Christians visiting the museum will strike up conversations with local artisans, and thus share the gospel.
2. Ostersund is adjacent to Lake Storsjon. Pray that people who see the sky’s reflection in the water today will also see the true condition of their hearts in God’s Word, and His remedy.
3. Pray that a dozen Viking descendants will come to be at peace with God before the end of this year.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Yeniseysk.

1. Pray that, whoever these two people are, they will one day walk beside the river of life in heaven, having gained citizenship there through trusting Jesus Christ for salvation.
2. Pray for believers across Russia to truly meet with God when they go to church today.
3. Pray for the Word of God to change a life in Yeniseysk today.

This post was originally published on July 31, 2022. It’s been three years since we first prayed for the two people pictured to be saved. Pray that if they did not accept Christ in 2022, that they will now.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Mogilev.

1. Pray for the Lord to send a church planter to invite families living in these apartments to come hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
2. Mogilev features an attraction called the “Square of Stars,” which has a sundial and honors stargazers. Pray that local astronomers would be like the wise men, seeing the wonders of God in the heavens that point to the Savior. (Psalm 19:1-2)
3. Pray for city residents who still are influenced by communist ideology to experience the truth of John 8:32.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Ukraine.

It has been awhile since TGP featured the Ukraine, asking for prayer in relation to the Russian invasion. The following is an excerpt from Maria Kotik’s Facebook post, who along with her husband Dima are missionaries in the Ukraine. They were in the States in the early months of the Russian invasion, but have since returned to the Ukraine and are living in Kiev.

Here’s what Maria wrote yesterday:

“Last night was difficult. A drone hit an apartment building not far from us. This was one of several direct hits. 14 civilians have been murdered. Many more are wounded.
I am asking you to pray for Ukraine…”

There are many current crises around the world which need our prayers. Let us lift up the Ukraine today.

1. Pray for the Father to give protection and hope to His children across the Ukraine.

2. Pray for God to step in and stop the Russian invasion forces.

3. Pray for the Lord to bless the efforts of Ukrainian churches who are trying to reach the lost during this very difficult time.

Matthew 28:20b

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Bender.

1. Pray for visitors to the above sixteenth century Ottoman fortress to hear about the only fortress Who is eternal, and seek sanctuary in Him.
2. On July 4, 1941, 700 Jews living in Bender were brought into this castle and shot. Pray for the Jewish population living in the city today to never face such an atrocity, and to find lasting spiritual peace in their Messiah, Jesus Christ.
3. Bender has had several names throughout its history, which dates back to the second century B.C. Pray that as long as there is a city in this location, there will be Christians proclaiming the gospel there.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Blatten.

1. Yesterday a 92 million cubic foot glacier crashed down a Swiss mountain, causing mud and ice to cover 90% of the alpine village of Blatten. Three hundred residents had been evacuated, but one man is currently missing. Pray for the search to find him to be successful.
2. Pray for the 300 evacuees to hear about the only City that can never be destroyed, and obtain personal residences there through faith in the finished work of Christ.
3. Pray specifically for Blatten’s mayor, Matthias Bellwald, to seek God’s answers for life and eternity, both in his personal and professional endeavors.

Luke 18:1

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Prague.

1. The above building is comparable to a city courthouse, with various offices inside. Pray that couples using the wedding ceremonial hall will have a desire to start their homes on a solid foundation, and that the Lord will put someone in their lives to explain Biblically how to do that.
2. Pray for the craftsman/his family who built the wooden doors above to meet the greatest Carpenter of all time.
3. When exiting the building, one can see a cross steeple in the distance. Pray that the Holy Spirit will use that sight to remind city officials of the need for God’s blessings on Prague, and that they will seek His wisdom for how to best manage their city.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Alcochete.

1. Alcochete is a port city of 20,000 people with no evangelical church. An American family and a Brazilian family are teaming up to start a church there. Pray for the Lord to use them to establish a church that will continue until His return.
2. Pray for many residents of this apartment complex to come to faith in Christ.
3. Pray for those who love the untameable vastness of the sea to know the God in Whose hand it resides. (Isaiah 40:12)

John 12:46

This post was originally published on July 18, 2021. The church planting effort described in the first prayer request was from missionaries visiting my church who were working to raise support to go. Unfortunately, I do not remember their names, so I do not know if they made it to Alcochete. An internet search does not show a new church there. Pray for the Lord to bless the two families mentioned, and for a church to indeed start in Alcochete.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Cluj-Napoca.

1. Pray for the child who owns this scooter to receive eternal life, and have many discipleship opportunities to grow in faith.

2. Jesus said in John 4:23 that the Father is seeking people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Pray for Him to find many such worshippers in Cluj-Napoca.

3. Romanian, English, French, and Italian can often be heard in the populous city of Cluj-Napoca. Pray for the resident who speaks the most languages to also be Biblically literate and heaven bound.
