One night on this very sea, Jesus Christ walked through a storm to reach His beleaguered friends. “What was over their heads was under His feet.”* Pray for a current believer living in this “village of comfort”** to know the abiding strength and comfort that Jesus Christ still brings to His friends today.
On this Good Friday, pray for three Jewish teenagers in Kfar Nahum to accept the finished work of the Messiah on their behalf.
Pray for the most secular-minded business owner in Kfar Nahum to hear and heed the beckoning of the Master, as Matthew the tax collector did two millennia ago.

Graca, Sao Tome and Principe

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Graca.

Pray for soccer players on this court today to hear the good news of eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Pray for people in Graca who have had loved ones pass away this week to meet the Resurrection and the Life, the God of all comfort.
Pray for someone in Graca who was recently laid off from work to see the provision of God for daily bread (both physical and spiritual bread).

Rio Grande, Argentina

Pray for shoppers who will use this walkway today to meet someone who tells them about the love of Christ.
The city of Rio Grande is named for the river by which it is located. Though only a twelfth as long as the Texas river with the same name, this Argentine/Chilean river is nonetheless impressive. Pray for someone on the Rio Grande today to meet the God Who has a river flowing from His throne, that he may one day be among the redeemed gathered there.
Pray for a Christian construction worker in Rio Grande to be encouraged today.

Nashville, USA

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Nashville.

1. Continue to pray for the families and friends of the six people who lost their lives at Covenant School eight days ago. Pray for the Lord to comfort hearts as only He can.

2. Because of the uncertainties of life that the shooting underscores, pray for people who are wrestling with questions of eternal importance to Biblically make their peace with God.

3. Pray for the Lord to meet the spiritual needs of the shooter’s parents.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Izmir.

Pray for a worker in one of these buildings to look out the window and up at the sky today, and think about Who God is. Pray that God will then send a witness into that person’s life, and that faith will be the response.
Jesus sent a message to ancient Izmir (Smyrna) in Revelation 2:8-11. Pray for a Christian family to read those verses today, and be encouraged.
Pray for many Biblical churches to be started and strengthened in this city of 4.5 million people.

Instanbul, Turkey

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Instanbul.

1. Pray that on this Palm Sunday, believers in Instanbul will worship the Lord, enjoy Christian fellowship, and see fruit from their labors of evangelism and discipleship.

2. Pray for Ali Yerlikaya, Instanbul’s governor, and his wife Hatice to hear a gospel presentation, and personally accept Jesus as their Savior.

3. Having 15 million people, Instanbul ranks first among Europe’s populous cities (wikipedia). In fact, almost 20% of the entire country’s population reside there. Pray that many, many Instanbulites will be born again into God’s kingdom, and grow to be mature believers who truly walk with Him.

1. Lubango, Angola: Pray for a gospel outreach to begin to the Ouivamo ethnic group.

2. Havana, Cuba: Pray that today more of the city’s VW Bug and Bicitaxi drivers will hear that Jesus loves them, understand how that love was demonstrated (John 3:16), and believe the Truth in repentance and faith.

Orongo, Easter Island (Chile)

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Easter Island.

1. Stone houses such as the one above are found at the top of a steep cliff in Orongo, and were once the location for yearly birdman cult ceremonies. When Christianity was introduced to the island, many left those customs for the Truth. Today, Orongo is a World Heritage site. Pray for visiting tourists to similarly be introduced to the Truth, that they may abandon their own attempts at creating meaning and purpose in exchange for the gospel.

2. Easter Island became a Chilean territory in 1888. Currently 5,000 people live on the island. The island’s name stems from the fact that it was first seen by a European explorer on Easter Sunday in 1722 (metmuseum.org). Pray that as Easter Sunday 2023 approaches, many salvation decisions will be made.

3. Pray for the Scripture to be widely available and read by many islanders.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Dublin.

1. This picture is from the campus of Trinity College, founded in 1592. Pray for a student who will sit on this bench today to believe in the Triune God as He has revealed Himself in Scripture.

2. A nearby riverfront offers bicycles to rent for getting around / recreation. Pray that a cyclist will ponder any exposure to the Truth he has had previously, and seek God more (Hebrews 11:6).

3. Pray that every baby born today at Dublin’s National Maternity Hospital will one day have a clear opportunity to become a Christian.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Dzhiland.

Pray for a guest in this hotel to meet the God Who is/has the answer to the deep questions of life with which his soul is wrestling.
Pray for the person responsible for cleaning the hotel’s floor rugs (the original 360° view of the above building shows a couple large rugs being aired on the front lawn) to discover and rejoice in the Savior Who cares about every detail of her life.
Tajikistan is home to many different types of birds. The Iskanderkulsky Nature Refuge is a notable bird habitat (Google Earth). Pray for someone bird watching there to learn some of Scripture’s beautiful truths/illustrations about birds.
