TGP is excited to press forward in 2024 in our field position of specific prayers for Jesus to be known to the peoples of the world. May His kingdom be advanced around the world even further because of our obedience to His command to pray (Luke 10:2). Today, let us celebrate the absolute guarantee of His ultimate victory! Andavadoaka, Madagascar

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Andavadoaka.

This road runs for quite a long stretch through Andavadoaka, even connecting it to the town Befandefa. Pray that a person walking on the road today will also get on the narrow road that leads to life (Matthew 7:13-14).
Andavadoaka is a fishing village on the west coast of Madagascar. Pray for the oldest fisherman in the village who has always managed to “get away” to be caught by the great Fisher of Men this week.
Pray that a child will remember his Creator in the days of his youth (Ecc. 12:1), and that the Creator will give that child an opportunity to know Him personally.

Cordoba, Spain

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Cordoba.

Cordoba has a rich history, as illustrated by the Roman aquaduct above. Pray for someone in Cordoba who enjoys studying history to pray / apply Moses’ prayer in Psalm 90:12.
Pray for true worship, as described by Jesus in John 4:23, to rise from Cordoba to the Father today.
Pray for needy children to meet people who reflect the love of Jesus to them.

Banpo Village, China

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Banpo Village.

Archaeological work has shown that Banpo Village was established around 4500 years before the birth of Christ. Worldhistory.com states that over 10,000 stone tools and artifacts have been discovered there. Pray that a student studying the history of Banpo Village today will begin a personal relationship with Jesus.
Pray for a worker in the above building to hear/believe the plan of salvation, that he may also be a worker for the greatest Employer of all.
Banpo Village was a matriarchal society. Pray that many Chinese women will become virtuous women of faith, passing on the Truth to the next generation.

Bethlehem, Israel

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Bethlehem.

The above photo is from Manger Square. The background building is the Mosque of Omar, which is across the square from the Church of the Nativity. Pray for visitors to the square to be gripped by the veracity and relevance of the Luke 2 record of the Christchild’s birth.
Pray for vendors in the square, such as the cotton candy salesman above, to see the Biblical events as more than just an opportunity to earn an income.
Pray for 3 worshippers at the mosque to see Jesus for Who He really is, and trust Him alone for salvation.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Poshkharv.

Pray for our Father to remind any of His children who may be on this road today that “the strength of the hills is His also.” (Psalm 95:4)
According to britannica.com, “Tajikistan is among the countries with the greatest potential for hydroelectric power in the world.” Pray for many nationals to know “the power of God unto salvation” (Romans 1:16), given by the same Creator Who blessed their country with natural resources.
Pray for the Tajik Bible to reach a home today that has never before had a copy of the very words of God.

Christmas Requests

This Christmas season, please pray for the Lord to work in these areas…

1. Salvation: That people who have never heard the Christmas story will hear it, understand the scope of its meaning and effects, and invite the Savior into their lives.

2. Reflection: That Christians will make time to reflect on the wonder of Emmanuel’s incarnation, and adore Him yet again.

3. Attention: That people who grew up hearing the Truth but rejected it for the world’s glamour will heed the Spirit’s convicting pull to seek what is most important.

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Wellington.

Pray for people who will sit at these tables today, that when they think about / discuss recent global events, the Lord will interject Himself into their thoughts and draw them to Himself.
Pray for any Christians who may work in the two tall buildings in the background to be bold in witnessing for Jesus.
Pray for landscape workers who mow the grassy area above to meet the One Who made everything from grass to them personally.

Mexico City, Mexico

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Mexico City.

Pray for university students using this room at UNITEC Sur to hear about the Creator Who made their bodies fearfully and wonderfully (Psalm 139).
Pray for God’s churches in Mexico City to grow and be successful in worship, fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism.
Pray for the newest family who has come to Mexico City in search of a better life to find the One Who is the way, truth, and life, and for that family to come to the Father by Him.
