Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Tokyo.

1. Located on the grounds of the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno Park, Tohaku Cha-kan is a very upscale tea house and restaurant, featuring historically based furnishings and exquisite local cuisine. The building itself was first built almost 300 years ago, and has been moved from its original location. Tohaku Cha-kan is closed on Mondays, so pray for a customer who will visit the tea house tomorrow, hoping that the experience will bring a sense of inner tranquility. Pray for that individual to meet Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
2. Today is Sports Day, one of Japan’s national holidays. Commemorating the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the goal of this holiday is to promote sports and an active lifestyle. School events (similar to Field Day competitions in US elementary schools), community events, family friendly activities, and martial arts competitions will be held throughout the country. In several New Testament passages, the Christian life is compared to athletic competitions. Pray for Christians across Japan participating in Sports Day events to wholeheartedly engage in the Christian race as described in 1 Cor. 9:24-27 and Heb. 12:1-3.
3. Not far from our current map marker is both the Taito Ward Ueno Junior High School and the Kanei-ji Buddhist Temple. Pray for a student at the school who has visited the temple to meet a Christian who exhibits Christlikeness, and for that student to choose the only Way, Truth, and Life.
