Cooking is a hobby that turns the necessity of eating into a delightful art. God has created a myriad of foods, and the possibilities of combining ingredients in different ways and techniques are limitless. Putting an appetizing and wholesome meal on the table is the starting point for great family conversations / bonding during meal time, as well as a way to extend the love of God to one’s own family and beyond.
1. Pray for God to give you an opportunity to share something about Jesus the next time you are in a grocery store.
2. The greatest banquet of all time will take place at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Thank God for His amazing hospitality that invites all to come!
3. Just as we must have food to survive physically, so Jesus is the Bread of Life on which our souls depend. Indeed, He has said that “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Pray for a professional chef who does not know Christ to realize the value of Him as the Bread of Life, and treasure His words as more important than necessary food (Job 23:12).
