The Skewed Reality

Malachi 2:17

You have wearied the Lord with your words; yet you say,
“In what way have we wearied Him?”
In that you say,
“Everyone who does evil
Is good in the sight of the Lord,
And He delights in them,”
Or, “Where is the God of justice?”

The problem in Malachi’s day has not gone away in 2025: people willfully choose a distorted view of God to rationalize their actions. However, God and His mandates do not change, and sin always brings destruction.

Today is the last day of Pride Month. First recognized by Bill Clinton in 1999 and expanded by Barack Obama in 2011, the promotion of alternate lifestyles is ultimately a flaunting of rebellion in the face of a holy God.

The prime minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, banned a pride parade in Budapest, citing the reason as protection for children. However, 100-200,000 people showed up to defiantly participate in the parade. The following headline and subtitle is from The Washington Post:

1.Pray for the Lord to bless Prime Minister Orban for his courageous attempt to do what was right. If Viktor Orban does not know Jesus as his personal savior, pray for him to hear the gospel and believe.

2. It is very sad that many infants / children are exposed to the LBGTQ+ lifestyle as “normal,” growing up in homes with caregivers who have made those lifestyle choices. Pray for the Lord to rescue these children, helping them to understand and believe His pattern for the family.

3. Pray for someone living in your vicinity who has embraced this skewed reality to, on this last day of Pride Month, see the futility of that choice, and turn to God (as He reveals Himself to be in the Bible) for salvation and healing.
