Kiefholzstrasse (Berlin), Germany

Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Berlin.

1. Pray for the owner of the pictured trailer to believe that Jesus is the only Person capable of hauling away his sins, and trust Him to do so.

2. The significance of Kiefholzstrasse (a road) to the Berlin Wall was allotment gardens. These plots were portioned out to both East and West Berliners prior to the Berlin Wall’s existence, an example of the instant division of communities and families that the wall created. When the “wall” was initially erected by the Soviets, it was an overnight laying down of barbed wire. Many people were able to successfully escape East Berlin in those early days, before the concrete structure was completed. The Kiefholzstrasse allotment gardens became one place many were able to leave. An example was the family of Monika Schönicke; her father cut through the wire mesh fencing of the allotment gardens, thus enabling his family and others to slip through to freedom. Pray for any living descendants of Mr. Schönicke to hear the gospel, and seize that invaluable opportunity to escape to freedom from sin before it’s too late.

3. Almost four million people live in the Berlin city limits, so it is likely that every TGP team member has the same name as one of Berlin’s residents. Pray for someone there with the same name as yours (whether they go by the English or German version of that name) to go to a gospel preaching church this weekend, hear how to become a Christian, and do so.

Psalm 96:4-6
