Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Berlin.

1. After following the Teltowkanal, the Berlin Wall made a right turn to follow the Britzer Verbindungskanal for a short time. Today’s location also marks the 20% completion point on our virtual prayer walk. Pray for people in their twenties who will walk the pictured stretch of the Berlin Wall path this week, that before they leave that decade of life, they will hear a clear presentation of the gospel, and respond in saving faith.
2. The Britzer Verbindungskanal section of the Berlin Wall is where the last person was killed while trying to escape East Germany on February 5, 1989 – 9 months and 4 days before the wall fell. A memorial to 20-year-old Chris Gueffroy was erected in 2003, on what would have been his 35th birthday. He was trying to escape because he did not want to be forced to serve in the East German army when he turned 21. People around the globe and across the centuries have long dreamed of what it means to be free. Pray for the people living in what used to be East Berlin who now have political freedom, to also come to know the ultimate spiritual freedom found only in Christ. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

3. Pray for both the person who has been a Christian the longest in Berlin, and the person who has most recently accepted Christ, that both of them will continue to love Him with all of their hearts for the rest of their days on earth.
Psalm 96:4-6
