Ramadan

February 17 – March 19 is the 2026 celebration of Ramadan. This Muslim holiday commemorates when the Quran was written. The month’s emphases are focused devotion to Allah, charity to the poor, and purification/self-restraint. The stand-out component of Ramadan is fasting from dawn until dusk, although both pre-dawn and after-dusk meals are eaten daily.

1. Fifty-seven nations are members of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation). Pray that during this year’s Ramadan celebration, one Muslim from each of those countries will become a Christian.

2. Around 25% of the world’s population are Muslim (1.9 billion people). Indonesia heads the list of countries with the most adherants: 242 million people. Several American companies have a vital role in helping develop Indonesia’s infrastructure, natural resources, and information technology. Pray for Christians to be able to use these connections as an entrance point to Indonesia, and have many God-given opportunities to witness for Jesus there.

3. Christians in Muslim families often face extreme difficulty and pressure to revert to Islam. Pray for all such Christians during this month of Ramadan: that the Lord will remind them of His love continually, protect and provide for all their needs, give them opportunities to fellowship with other believers, and grant courage to continue living for Him.
