Pray for the Lord to send out workers to the harvestfield of Roto.

1. Roto is in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, which is a self-governing group that has been a US territory since 1978. Roto is located 40 miles away from Guam, and its inhabitants are US citizens. Roman Catholicism is the religion of 90% of Roto’s approximately 2,000 residents. Pray for the Lord to send a Christian to Roto to witness for Him.
2. The thatched roof in the top picture is a feature of traditional Chamorro homes. These roofs would often have to be replaced every year or two, with the frequency of doing so being dictated by weather conditions. (Most houses on Roto do not currently have thatched roofs, but the Chamorro cultural influences are still strong.) Pray for whoever lives in the top house to receive a clear gospel message this year.
3. The lower picture shows two large water barrels, used to collect and store rainwater. Many of the homes on Roto use this type of water barrel. In Biblical times, many homes had cisterns for the same purposes. Jeremiah 2:13 highlights the fact that God’s people had forsaken Him, the fountain of living waters, and hewn out for themselves broken cisterns that could hold no water. Pray for the family living at the house with the pictured water barrels to realize there is no substitute for knowing and serving the one true God.
